The Fleurieu Peninsula was our first taste of South Australia's many peninsulas. If you look at the map, there are so many facing the coast of South Australia. We checked out Rapid Bay and Victor Harbor as we traveled around on the scenic drive.
The Grampians, Victoria
The Grampians have so much to offer for nature lovers. Hike mountains, drive to lookouts, paddle in waterways and watch fauna amoungst beautiful flora.
A quiet little seaside town provides the perfect family getaway.
Paradise Valley is an amazing place, full of wildlife, a beautiful river and so much to explore.
Sorrento is a wonderful place to spend a day, weekend or longer.
The Healesville Sanctuary is one of Victoria's big 3 zoos and is well worth a visit. You can spend a full day here very comfortably.
The Victorian State Coal Mine in Wonthaggi is a great family day out.
The Phillip Island Penguin Parade is a must do in Victoria for a family.
NRMA Port Arthur is a great place to stay with a family.

Woodhouse Activity Centre is a Scouts Australia facility, but it's open to the public for day visits, school holiday programs and even camping. We were treated to the campgrounds all by ourselves, and we took full advantage of checking everything out.
Halls Gap, Victoria
Halls Gap Lakeside is heaven for kids, but parents as well. Set in the amazing Grampians, theanimals are everywhere, as is the fun.
Seahorse World at Beauty Point in Tasmania provides tours and insight into the world of the Sea Horse.
The Platypus is related to the Echidna plus one other South American vairant. Get up close and personal!
Tasmazia and The Village of Lower Crackpot was a lot of fun for the whole family.
We spent an afternoon at the Port Arthur Historical Site and the kids were engaged and spellbound by the overall size of the site as well as it's history.
This is a must do when in Tasmania!
Blue sky, little to no wind and a top temperature in the low 20?s meant that if we were ever going to get three boys happily hiking this was our day.
Victor Harbor Holiday and Cabin park is a fantastic base to explore Victor Harbor for families. We were so well taken care of, nothing was too much trouble and the kids had a ball!
Right on the waterfront, this caravan park is quirky, funny and an amazing base for some really fun watersports on and around Lake Albert.
A busy spot over weekends, but we see why. It is an incredible spot with so much to do in and around the Rapid Bay beach and surrounding Fleurieu Peninsula.

The Murraylands are a huge part of South East, South Australia. Home to the mighty Murray River, it's mouth out to the sea and the enormous lower lakes.
