Preparations for our big lap of Australia continued this week, although in the background we still had to have Jed’s birthday. Of course birthdays are important, so we wanted to ensure that despite all of the craziness he still got to feel special and enjoy his birthday. Check out in our episode above what sort of things we got up to.
Focus was on getting the house ready to rent out this week. We needed to declutter, clean, start maintenance jobs and be ready for real estate agent photos taking place next week. Lot’s of gardening and maintenance jobs that have sat there with no love were being taken care of.
In perhaps the biggest news this week, our caravan went on the line for assembly. Yep – that quick! Jayco build the caravans from the ground up, inside out, at ours wheeled out on the Wednesday. We have been in touch with them and all is progressing well. We are really looking forward to seeing it!
With everything moving so fast, we needed to stop for a little but of planning. We needed to find a place for our shake down camp! Perhaps the most important camp we can do with a new caravan, the shake down camp was an opportunity to test it all out when we get the van, and run back and forth for supplies or missing bits we may not have thought of.
We also started work on the car this week, with Graham from GT Auto Electrics starting to pre-wire before we start to install things like barriers and drawers.
