Everyone knows about Darwin. It’s up there, somewhere, a capital, of a territory, and has a lot of crocodiles and AFL football! But Darwin was so much more than that, so much to see and do. We spent 9 days in Darwin, setting up our base at Robbie Robbins reserve on an unpowered site, but complete with good sun and unlimited water direct to the caravan.
We used this as our base to explore Darwin, taking in everything form Parliament, to the Museum, the CBD and even the Mindil Markets which are set right on the beach with lot’s to see and do!
We also used Darwin as a base to explore the Mary River Wetlands, which has a center piece of the Coroboree Billabong. We were joined by a number of our friends, other travelling families for a great adventure:
The people of Darwin were fantastic, not just the accommodation and local experience providers, but the information centers and the restaurants. We even met Jeff and Poppy who had been following along our adventure, and ended up as their guests to the local Rodeo!
We can’t wait to get back to Darwin again, with plans already being made for a Darwin Day rendezvous!
