Here’s our 3 park super pass strategy on the Gold Coast. Hopefully this can help your next trip, or perhaps a friend or family members.
Did we miss any tips, tricks or hacks? Please share below!
The 3 park superpass can be acquired a number of different ways, directly sure, but best done via a discount deal (like the Entertainment Book) or an accommodation or camping package (like via Paradise Country, which we did). How you purchase it is hack number A1, don’t pay full price!!
Once you have your pass, you’ve got three big days to make it all happen like a trooper. Here we go!
Tip 1: Get the timing right
Ideally you should hit all three parks mid-week. This means you remove a lot of the local traffic, as many of them have annual passes and just come on in with their families and friends.
Tip 2: Order matters
We reckon you should hit Warner Brothers Movie World first, allowing you to be fresh to cover the whole park. There are some great rides, shows and different sections stretched out over the park. WetnWild is a great second day option. Heaps of pools.to laze or drift around in, allowing you to catch your breath. There are lines, on rides and slides, but breaking it up with a cabana visit makes all the difference. Seaworld last is a good option. You’ll feel fresh, and there are a number of exhibits you can take your time on. It to mention the monorail to cut down some walking time.
Tip 3: Do some food pre-work
As a family, it’s not really practical to drop a bomb on 5 x lunches, snacks and drinks. You might be able too, but we had to have a plan. We start with a massive breakfast each morning filling everyone up. We then take snacks in a bag, and allow for one snack on site, maybe a drink or an ice cream etc. We pack lunches, but keep them in the car. We might duck out then for a late afternoon lunch, as usually there is so much fun to be had lunch gets overlooked anyway after a big breakfast!
Tip 4: Be punctual
The parks open up at 9:30am, with rides starting from 10am. Get there from the start and you can find a park, get through the gates and grab a locker, ready to go.
Tip 5: Have your tickets ready
Just reinforcing buy your tickets before you get there. There will allow.you to skip through the express lanes for pre-purchased tickets. The park entry line isn’t a ride worth waiting for….there’s more exciting stuff inside!
Tip 6: Use the magic hours to your advantage.
There are 2 hours where you can maximise your time on the best rides at the parks each day. The first hour of the day, 10am to 11am, as well as the last hour of the day, 4pm tp 5pm. Lines will either not yet be established, or dropping off as people head home. Hit those big ticket items or favourite rides hard!
Tip 7: Monitor the show times
Watch for daily show schedules and know which ones you want to do. They too can have lines, so consider which are must dos and like to dos. Sometimes they overlap, so have a plan! Some shows have double sittings, consider the second one as they are usually less busy.
Tip 8: Parent Swap is a thing & it’s golden!
Even if your little one isn’t keen on the ride, line up all together. Speak to the attendant about a parent swap. It’s like a cheat code! Your partner gets to do the ride, you wait, when they are back, it’s your turn. Bonus for the older kids, they often get to go twice with Mum and Dad!
