The people who work at this park would have to be some of the friendliest going around. Nothing was too much trouble, and throughout our stay, they went out of their way to make our visit a memorable one.
The park itself has large powered and unpowered sites, as well as cabins and quite a lot of permanent onsite vans. We found our site and easily backed into it, with plenty of space around us. Two modern camp kitchens ensure there is plenty of space to prepare meals, nearby to all of the camping spots.
There is a jumping pillow and swimming pool, and to the rear
of the property, a HUGE water slide and inflatable maze. Our boys had an
absolute ball on these! Initially, we didn’t realise that the slide was a water
slide…and the boys got quite a surprise when they emerged, soaked! The maze was
also huge, and lots of fun for all ages. They were both operated by staff for a
period of 4 hours each day.
The fun for kids just kept on going, with a school holiday program
that included activities daily. We participated in movie night, Wii challenge,
kids karaoke and a colouring competition. Many of the kids were quite shy
during karaoke, and I was very impressed with the lady running it, as she
individually chatted to each child and encouraged them to have a go and find a
song they might enjoy. Certificates and chocolates for provided for all who had
a go. During the movie night, there is a caravan café that opens with hot food
and snacks (you can’t go past the fresh donuts).
Go Karts and electric scooters are for hire, and are always a hit with our boys. This is such a welcoming and friendly park, with very reasonable rates. A great place to stay in Victor Harbor.
Positioned next to the library (we love to duck into libraries to read a few stories), and 5 minute drive into the heart of the town. Perfect for us on our Lap of Australia.
