Where has the time gone??!! We have been on the road for 100 days now. We have all learnt so much and adjusted to a very different way of life. To mark the occasion, we sat down for a family writing session and each wrote exactly 100 words about the last 100 days.

100 days on the road. It has gone so fast! It’s really been a great lesson in minimalism, learning to live with less in a smaller space. You know what? We haven’t missed a single possession or amenity left at home. We have everything we need, admittedly very close to hand, and have already seen and done things we never thought we would. We have climbed mountains, explored caves, swam in crystal clear waters, met heaps of wildlife, new friends, gone on countless adventures and every day is different with something exciting and completely new to do. It’s been awesome.

Travelling full time in a caravan is a sure way to
dramatically change your lifestyle and learn so many new skills in 100 days.
From a house to a portable tiny home, we have altered almost every aspect of
our day to day life.
Living on 40 litres of water for 5 of us per day, less cleaning (yay!) and living outdoors, as well as learning about our country and making new friends, what a life! Sharing daily tasks with the family and doing our school work and work together, I hope the next 100 days don’t go too quickly!

So far this year we have had heaps of fun
playing with new friends and splashing each other at the beach and pool.
We have learned to bodysurf and to front flip
over large waves and to dive vertically into the pool!
We get to do more exciting things in a year
then most people do in a lifetime! This year is going to be great because we
can spend time with new friends and family to play with.
Sometimes traveling in the car can be really
hard because of annoying brothers and pains from sitting down for so long.

We have to be careful with power and water.
We’ve made heap’s of friend’s in the travels.
Camping at beaches has been really fun.
There’s been lots of experiences on the road.
We’ve been doing lots of swimming.
The camp fires have been fun toasting marshmallows.
There’s been long drives.
Not as much cleaning. (yes!)
We don’t have as much space.
There’s lots of good museums.
We have to be careful about food and drinks because when we run out we run out. And we don’t want that happening.
There’s a lot more packing up to do and setting up.

It’s amazing to travel around Australia and not have much power and
water.
Be patient. Don’t use the toilet when the light is on. When your parents
are dumping the toilet at the dump point you have to be patient. When you are on really long drives you have to
be patient and don’t ask questions or “when will we be there?”.
You have to make friends to play. We made lots of friends. You can eat
lots of marshmallows and play with your friends at night, every night.
I hope we get to see lots of animals and zoos.
