We’re on our lap of Australia, and heading up from Perth along the coast we reached Geraldton. This was a town that Steph in particular was keen to visit, with family ties to the HMAS Sydney II Memorial.
Geraldton was a great spot to stock up in before moving up the coast, but there is a lot to see and do in the town. It has a great maritime history you can check out in the museum, and a wonderful waterfront area.
It shares amazing fishing with Cervantes, higher up the coast.
After checking out the crayfish or lobster industry in Cervantes we headed for Lucky Bay, not the one in Esperance, but the one just out of Kalbarri.
It’s not far from the Pink Lake at Hutt Lagoon. We had been hanging out to see a real pink lake, especially after seeing multiple dry salt lakes claiming to be pink in the lead up. It was worth the wait.
We had a great time exploring the region, with stunning views and experineces. Check it all out in the Episode above.
